The UQ Art Museum presents screenings of Occupation: Native and We don’t need a map. These powerful and entertaining films interrogate Australia’s history.
From film writer and director Trisha Morton-Thomas’ perspective, Occupation: Native highlights what has been missing from Australian history books.
We don’t need a map explores the history and meaning of the Southern Cross and is sure to provoke a hearty debate … because it taps into the complex heart of who we are as Australians.
Also explore our new exhibition Defying Empire: 3rd National Indigenous Art Triennial which brings together works by 30 contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from across Australia.
