We Need To Talk About... What we can learn from past pandemics

From the Black Death to the Spanish Flu and more: what can the pandemics of the past tell us about life during and after COVID-19? Join brilliant UQ minds, Dr Karin Sellberg and Associate Professor Elizabeth Stephens, in a discussion about the social, cultural and public health impacts of pandemics on human society. How can we more deeply understand our new norms - social distancing, quarantine and isolation? Moderated by Peta Rake, Senior Curator, UQ Art Museum.

Karin Sellberg is from UQ’s School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry.

Elizabeth Stephens is an ARC UQ Future Fellow in UQ’s Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and in the School of Communication and Arts.
